Linear Drains (Strip Drains) Frequently Asked Questions

What are Strip Drains Sydney linear drains made from?

All our drains and floor waste products are fabricated from the highest quality 316L Grade Stainless Steel. Not only are our drains made from the best quality stainless steel, they’re also 100% locally made in our workshop, located just south of Sydney in Heathcote, NSW.

Do you deliver strip drains to my location?

Yes, after your drain is manufactured, local COVID-19 SAFE pickup is available from our factory in Heathcote, or we can organise cost-effective delivery across Australia. We’re a COVID-19 Safe government verified organisation, and we’ve successfully completed and implemented government guidelines.

Why choose a linear drain over a standard centrally located drain?

Linear strip drains offer better drainage and more options for placement than standard drains. They’re also available in two types, grate drain, and tile insert drain, allowing you to match your bathroom or wet area tile to the top of the strip drain, concealing the drain, giving a minimal, infinity aesthetic.
Strip drains also offer a safer alternative for water drainage, as water is efficiently drained from the gradient, instead of pooling at a central point, reducing the hazard of slippery surfaces created by pooling water.

Where can I use strip drains?

Strip drains can be installed in locations traditional drains would normally be used, however strip drain installation offers more options for install location, as only one slope or gradient is needed to ensure effective drainage. Below is a list of projects that can be enhanced by installing a strip drain:
  • Bathroom
  • Balcony
  • Swimming Pool
  • Driveway drainage

How long can a strip drain be?

We manufacture strip drains from 200mm wide up to a continuous length of up to 3640mm. Lengths over this size can be manufactured in sections. With drains available in various widths including 70mm, 100mm and 115mm.

Why choose Strip Drains Sydney?

We manufacture our trays using laser cut technology and then fold using CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) folding to produce a quality product resulting in a much stronger linear drain that is accurately measured to fit your project. Our trays also are manufactured with a slight fall in the base to minimise water pooling. Our outlets are available in several sizes and are fully TIG welded to the sub trays. We do not use any plastic fittings or glues in the manufacturing process, meaning our linear strip drains are built to last.
